About
Since 2001, I am Assistant Professor at Riga Stradins University in Riga, Latvia. Since 2009 I am also an instructor of the Advanced Certificate Program in Research Ethics in Central and Eastern Europe.
In 2010 I have participated in creation of the internet resoutce “bioethics.lv” (http://bioethics.first.lv/en/home/), yet the work is still in progress.
In 2011 I defended PhD thesis "Health Behavior and Quality of Life of Latvian Population".
Same year I was delegated to be a national representative of Latvian RECs, with the function to act as a coordinator on both national and international scale.
My main fields of activity are: bioethics and research ethics, sociology of health & illness, philosophical anthropology, psychology of doctor-patient interaction.
